The tech giant’s DeepMind AI has developed a machine learning algorithm that can automatically identify tumors on the body and identify the location of tumors within.
Machine learning is the process of using a large number of small, and often automated, data points to identify patterns in data to determine the likelihood that a specific entity or set of entities has a certain effect on the world.
The algorithms developed by DeepMind aim to be able to find the most appropriate candidates to test for cancer by determining whether the entity or entities that produce the cancer are likely to be related to the entity that causes it.
It is a process that involves testing a large collection of entities in a large database.
This has been done in a number of medical trials and has been shown to be effective.
While DeepMind says its algorithms are not currently used to identify cancer in patients, the company says it is working on this and will release more information soon.
DeepMind is also building a neural network that can predict the outcome of the tests in the trials and is hoping that it can be used in this manner.
When asked about the AI’s capabilities to find tumors, DeepMind’s Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Colin Ritchie said, “It’s really not that different than what you would find in the medical field.”
Dr. Ritchie added that it is important for the technology to be used “for the right reasons” and said that the AI would be able identify cancer based on a person’s history, and “the presence of certain genes that are associated with certain tumors.”
DeepMind, which is based in Cambridge, England, said that its deep learning approach could be used to help detect cancers in people, in the same way that the Human Genome Project and other large scale human genetic data mining efforts are used to detect human diseases.
Dr. John T. Anderson, the head of research at the Center for Human Genomics at the University of Pittsburgh, told CNNTech that DeepMind has been building the neural networks that are able to do this for a while and that the research is still in its early stages.
“These are the types of techniques that you would normally use in the field,” he said.
“The fact that they can be applied to human subjects, the fact that we can apply them to humans, it makes it really exciting.”
But, he added, it remains unclear whether DeepMind will use this technology to test its algorithms in humans.
“I don’t think they’ll be applying it to humans unless they are absolutely sure that they are going to find cancer,” Anderson said.
“But I think we’re pretty far away from that point.”
The team behind DeepMind said that it has not yet begun using the neural network to create a new test that can detect tumors in humans, though.
The company said that this is because it would be a costly, time consuming and time-consuming procedure.
But, it has said that if it can do so, it would begin using the technology in early 2018.
